About ESL

Under the premise of bringing a local vendor of Engineered Products and Services into the North Dakota market, Environmental Services, Ltd. was formed in 1989 by Perrie Schafer and two others. Perrie, who has first-hand experience in working in power stations, saw an opportunity to supply products and services with a new level of professionalism which had not been previously set in this region.

With our corporate office located in Mandan, ND, we also have branch locations in the Twin Cities, MN and Gillette, WY. ESL offers up to 30 different lines in the mechanical market place in Power, Pulp, Paper, Refining and Heavy Industrial Markets. We are represented in these areas and have the best lines in their respective areas of discipline in the market now.

ESL, 100% owned by Perrie since 1992, now has a sales force comprised of territory managers with about 100 years of industrial service experience between them. Our territory managers are expected to see their customer base in their assigned territories once every two weeks at a minimum. We pride ourselves on being truthful and diligent at all times with the betterment of our customers’ needs in mind. We are known as the solutions company and we expect our people to be knowledgeable and assessable for our customers at all times.

We believe that ESL’s line card is among the best in the vendor industry and we are quite diligent with who we represent. We feel that we look for the best companies available in their respective markets who cannot only supply the superior product, but at a cost-effect market price. Our suppliers’ customizing ability is where we feel we can benefit our customers the best.
