Valmet
Valmet is a forerunner in fluidized bed combustion for the pulp and paper industry and power producers, and a global leader in chemical recovery systems to pulp and paper mills. Valmet has designed and manufactured the world's largest recovery units and biomass-fired fluidized bed boilers. It has over 800 boiler and evaporator units installed worldwide. Valemt's main operations are in Finland, Sweden, USA and Brazil, and it has sales and engineering offices around the world. Valmet has four manufacturing units, one concentrating on new boiler production and three on service business. Metso Power has been part of Valmet Corporations's business area Metso Paper since January 1, 2007, upon acquisition of the business from Aker Kvaerner. Valmet offers its customers a comprehensive range of power products, engineering and services. Valmet's expert engineering, service and aftermarket operations improve the life and efficiency of their customer's boiler process. In 2006 Valmet's sales was about $2 billion. Today, it has a personnel of over 12,000 people. The largest market areas are Europe, Asia and North America.
